Recently, the town of Valdese in Western North Carolina built a new town hall.   Audio/Video Enterprises provided the multi-media needs, in both the Council Chambers and the Community Room.

In the Council Chambers, each seat on the dais has its own low profile microphone and 8" LCD monitor.  The audience seating area has 4 ElectroVoice C4.2 flush mounted ceiling speakers and two 42" LG LCD monitors to see and hear information being presented.  The system can easily process both audio and video being sourced from computers or a document camera housed in a presentation lectern. A Crestron TPS-4L touch screen located  at the town manager's position on the dais provides complete control of the system. The control software and the display graphics for the touch panel were customized specifically for the Town of Valdese by Audio/Video.  With simple touches of the control panel the Crestron system controller, a Kramer Matrix scaler/switcher, an Ashley 24.24 digital audio processor and a DVD player all  located in a remote equipment rack perform the selected functions flawlessly.There are also two wireless microphones that can be used during presentations and with the Ashly 24.24 programmed as an automatic microphone mixer everything is easily recorded for archival or transcription purposes.

In the Community Room, which is a more informal area for meetings and gatherings, a 60" LG plasma TV was installed. The TV will accept inputs from computers or a DVD player and was specifically setup to be very simple and easy to use.  Sound is provided by 3 ElectroVoice C4.2 flush mounted ceiling speaker via an ElectroVoice MA606 mixer/amplifier.
